Barn owls

On the right is a picture of a barn owl and its range in the U.S. The barn owl's diet is mostly rodents and other small animals. While hunting the barn owl's keen hearing is one of the owl's greatest advantages to catch prey. Owl will breed more if there is a large amount of food but if there is shortages of food they might not breed at all. Most barn owls will die in their first year in the wild but some can live more than 20 in captivity. Barn owls can be found in almost any habitat but prefer open woodland. Barn owls can be found on any continent except Antarctica. They have even been introduced to Hawaii in 1958.
This blog is about animals and other things in nature. I will put things about different animals each time I post something. My first post will be on barn owls. On each post I will tell about were it lives what it eats its size and other facts about the animal.
